First a confession: when I wrote “Traffic Generation - Old Skool Style - Part 1” I hadn’t done the keyword research on the misspellings of “fresh water aquarium”
They weren’t very promising after all. So, in true blogger style, I am going to cheat a little and use a new keyword for this part of the post - “golf clubs”
Now that is out of the way, let’s get on with it! Read the rest of this entry

Hello again.
Today we are going to look at an “Old Skool” method of traffic generation that is just as effective today as it was 10 years ago, I should know because it generates a few thousand dollars a month for me from the handful of sites that I use it on. This is completely “hands-off”, autopilot income once the site is set up. It is also an easy way to get top 10 rankings for keywords with relatively high search volumes that will drive a significant amount of traffic to your blog or website; later in this post I will talk about different ways to monetize this traffic.
So, are you ready to find out what this remarkable secret is? Then carry on reading.

At this weeks “Searchology” event, at their headquarters in Mountain View, Google unveiled some new additions to it’s Search Engine interface. Google maintains an impressive lead in the search market with 63% of US search volume compared with Yahoo!’s 20%.
“The race in search is far from over and innovation and continued improvement is absolutely pivotal,” said Google’s Marissa Mayer.
“I’ve said this many times but search is still in its infancy. Our engineers are worried about what is the next big thing in search and how are they going to find it,” said Ms Mayer who is the Vice President of Search Products & User Experience.
Last year (2008) Google released over 365 new products - 1 each and every day! - and have, so far, released another 120 this year. Read the rest of this entry

A lot has happened in the world of Internet Marketing since I last posted to this blog (over a year ago according to the Way Back Machine) and the blog was subsequently deleted due to an unrecoverable server crash. I have been working hard and have comfortably surpassed my original goal, and the original purpose of this blog, “to earn $250/day from internet marketing” and I now have some time to relax and enjoy the Internet marketers lifestyle.
As a result of this, I have decided to resurrect $250/day as a place where I can ramble on about anything and everything that is Internet Marketing related and, perhaps, pass on a few of the things that I have learnt over the last 12 months or so. I probably won’t be posting as often as I would like to, so it would be a good idea for you to subscribe to the RSS feed by clicking on the orange button on the top header.
Over the last 12 months many things have changed in the internet marketing arena:
- Google has updated it’s indexing algorithm umpteen times (no surprises there),
- there have been a multitude of high-profile product launches (again, no surprises),
- tricks and techniques for improving rankings in the SERPs, that worked just a few months ago, are no longer as effective,
- Web 2.0 is the new … Web 2.0
However, a lot of things are still the same:
- numerous people are still trying to make a living from internet marketing,
- “Gurus” come and go as their particular brand of “get rich quick” philosophy gains or loses popularity,
- blogging is as popular as ever,
- the Web is still a great place to be.
I think that is enough of my ramblings for an initial post, I will try to update this as often as possible and I hope you will enjoy reading what I have to say.
